JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

POSITION: One (1), Full Time

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

WORK SCHEDULE:  9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M

RATE OF PAY: $110,947.00

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

1. Full stack application design and development - 65%

  • Understand the solution architecture and technical design for various components of the b2b ecommerce SaaS platform

  • Work with solution architects to design and develop individual modules for the b2b ecommerce Saas platform

  • Perform design and code reviews ensuring all functional and non-functional requirements such as security, maintainability, scalability, usability and reliability are met

  • Identify front end application stability issues and performance bottlenecks, and fine tune application code to resolve such issues

  • Create Proof of Concepts to evaluate scalability, security, portability, usability of solutions proposed using newer or emerging technologies.

  • Evaluate technologies/framework/tools to incorporate the desired solution

  • Create and Implement new frameworks, interfaces and components for the engineering team

  • Design and Implement code for the new features in the existing platform

 

2. Product Refinement - 20%

  • Work with the product and engineering teams to create a backlog of items for the customer pain points

  • Work with business and technology teams in prioritization of backlog items

  • Analyze existing system and build technological solution that reduces friction and increases automation to achieve high platform stability and seamless customer experience

 

3. Emerging technology and innovation - 15%

  • Quickly learn and understand the implications of emerging technologies in the industry and identify areas in the saas platform that can potentially benefit from such technologies

  • Come up with innovative solutions in integrating third party systems and services related to the saas platform, such as payment gateway services, shipping service providers, etc

  • Promote reusability of software modules and improve efficiency across teams by building components that leverage advanced design patterns and by developing innovative accelerators that enable teams to bootstrap applications quickly.

 

  • This position has an option to work remotely anywhere from the US.

  • This position also requires experience in React, Redux, Node JS, Java, Javascript, Typescript, MySQL, HTML, CSS.
